Psalm 90:12 “Teach us to number our days alright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom” We should always be aware of God’s wrath against sin and know that our days on the earth is short. Being a Christian with a heart of wisdom and always turn to Him.

Ivy Khor:

Luke 24:49 “I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” God told me, “how much is your desires to God’s word? For I can tell you many things but I knew sometimes you might forgot, however it is important for you to put my words in action.” Do you hunger for God’s word? My stomach makes noises, hungry already. Lol! God decided to choose you as His servant, willingness is on you.

Jennifer:

Mathew 14:28-31 Peter walked on water but sank because he doubted. Miu shared a story of 3 Korean girls who believe they can walk on water. They had strong faith in God, but sank and died. Many are furious at God for not saving them, but the problem is, did they lose faith and become afraid like Peter?

Amy:

2 Timothy 2:23 “don’t get involved in foolish, ignorant arguments that only start fights.” As God’s servants, we must not quarrel, but must be kind to others. We must control our tongue that it speaks only good words which can bring comfort and encouragement. What we speak also reflects our level of morality. Don’t let our words be the weapon to some dreadful quarrels and arguments. Behold our tongue, behold our words!

Leonard:

God told Israelites in Joshua 5:9 “This day have I rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you” In other words, they didn’t feel good about themselves. They had been hurt and mistreated; they were discouraged, even after being delivered from slavery. God wants all of us to know “stop doing that… I’m rolling away the reproach from you” We have to believe the reproach had to be rolled away before we can go to our Promise Land. So, stop your negative thoughts and claim your own Promise Land!

Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made, I’ll rejoice and be glad in it” Don’t worry about things you can’t change, focus on the things that you can change. Make the most of today. Enjoy today! There is no other day like today.

1 Timothy 6:6-10 A great lesson I learned from these verses is be content. We can never be contented, especially in the aspect of wealth, money. When we have a bit, we aim for more. This is a great temptation which will eventually lead us to destruction, as the love of money is at the root of all kinds of evil. So, don’t be greedy; be content with what we have. After all, we also can’t bring anything with us when we die. True religion with contentment is great wealth.

Andrew:

“Rise up and help us; redeem us because of your unfailing love.” (Psalms 44:26) God will always constantly turn His ears to our problems. God may not answer our prayer with ‘yes’ but always give us the ‘best’. God, we are sinners since Adam and Eve committed sin by not obeying Your order. We may do wrong in life, but God please redeem us from sins for Your unfailing love. In the name of Jesus, I declare we will gain victory to darkness. Hallelujah… Amen.

Leonard:

In Genesis, we’ve learnt that we are created with the image of Almighty God You are child of Most High God, you are crowned with god’s glory and honor, you can do all things through Christ, you are full of potential, you are overflowing with creativity. The favor of God is surrounding you whenever you go, whatever you touch is going to prosper and succeed. You are blessed and can’t be cursed. This is my declaration for you every day!

Ivy Khor:

Luke 23:34 Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Forgiveness is very hard; remembrance of people’s sins is harder. Wise man will choose to forgive, as Jesus Christ. So, faster call that person said, “I forgive you”! This sentence also reminds me to love others and God is priority one in our heart.

Jennifer:

Joshua 1:9 “Be strong and courageous, do not be terrified or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you whenever you go.” We should all learn from Joshua to have faith in God when going into battle, many have doubts for God, but Joshua never once doubts Him. Let us all be like Joshua in trusting God.

Leonard:

God said, “Jeremiah, I saw you before you were ever formed in your mother’s womb and I have chosen you to be a prophet to the nations.” You know what Jeremiah said? “God I can’t do that. I can’t speak to the nations. I’m too young, don’t know what to say.” God said, “Jeremiah, say NOT that you are too young.” God simply doesn’t want us to say such thing anymore, don’t use those words to curse our future. He wants us to change our words about our old self image and become courageous warrior! Do you always think that you don’t deserve a better prosperous and productive life?

Andrew:

“Why are you downcast, O my soul? Why so disturbed within me? Put your hope in God, for I will yet praise Him, my savior and my God.” (Psalms 43:5) God, I feel exactly what the verse described now. Why should I feel stressed by the problem in front of me? I have Lord behind me who always support me. Sometimes I forgot about His presence and do the decision by my own. I’m still learning. O Lord please opens a way for His son and daughter. Amen.

Amy:

1 Timothy 5:18 “do not keep an ox from eating as it treads out the grain. Those who work deserve their pay.” There’s always a norm of the term “deserve”. How much we give out, that’s how much we will gain back. What more for a Christian? God won’t grant our wish if we don’t even put our efforts to pursue it. So, don’t blame God for not listening to our prayer. We should, instead, play our parts too. Try our very best and God will do the rest.

Luke 22:53 “…when darkness reigns.” Nowadays is when darkness reigns, we have to be more alert! Keep holding Jesus’ hand; keep our faith, so that Satan won’t have chance to come near us. May God protect us, let us flee from temptation! Hallelujah!

Luke 20:17 “The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone” Sometime we are stubborn, didn’t hear what God wants us to do, but each of us has our own role to fulfill God’s will, although we are sinners, God has chosen us, use us to conquer this world! May God help us. Amen.

Amy:

1 Timothy 4:4 “since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it. We may receive it gladly, with thankful hearts” People always not satisfy with what they have, always aim for more, aim for better things; instead, never thanks for what they have now. And always blame for the current situation. This shall really not be the case. We should always thankful for whatever we have, everything, every people are created by God; if we are not satisfy with these things and people, we are actually unhappy over God’s creations. So, let’s think over it. Be thankful and always feel contented, grumble less, you’ll lead to a happier life!

Jennifer:

John 1:32-34 “I saw the spirit come down from heaven as a dove and remain on him” John baptize Jesus and a dove descended, landed on Him. Jesus was baptized with Holy Spirit. We too are baptized with Holy Spirit. Believe it when I say, we all have a dove on our side just like Jesus. The spirit will remain forever.

Ivy:

I would like to share this song with you all tonight. Holy Spirit touched me through it. “All that I’m is Yours, all that I have is Yours, and I give You my heart and soul… Lord! Every day is Yours, every breath is Yours. You alone are worthy of all praises. I surrender all to You. ALL. I’M NOTHING WITHOUT You. Jesus Christ, take my life, I lay it all down at Your feet…” We should thank Him for everything that He has done, not because of who we are, is because of who He is!

When God told Abraham and Sarah they were going to have a child, God had to change their names to Abram to Abraham (father of all nation), Sarai to Sarah (princess). God wants them to have faith to receive what they never believe they ever can. Over the times, they have changed their self images, no longer think they are old and barren but believe they are going to be fruitful and productive and give birth to a child called Isaac. Perhaps you may face something impossible, please think twice now! What do you think?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16) God, You really love the world and not willing to see His people suffer. He loves us until sacrifices His beloved son. Could you sacrifice anything you like the most for the people surrounding you? Think deeply upon the question. God has done a lot of sacrifices for us; but, what have we done for God? Only stuck into trouble, we only shout His name. Just a believer but not what Jesus wants us to be a disciple. Spread good news to the world. Think! Pray hard.

Isaiah said “We will eat the fruit of our words” The scripture also says “with our tongue, we can either bless our life or we can curse” God didn’t create us to be average. We were created to excel, we are not only chosen by God, He equipped us with everything we need to live His abundant life. Bro and sis, you have seeds of greatness inside you, it’s up to you to grab the words of God and live a different life from now on. I have chosen my own life, do you?

Andrew:

Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” Yeah, God is our shelter who provides protection to us. Be passion. Don’t ever look down at yourself as we are son and daughter of God. Get power. We should not underestimate ourselves by our mind. Take the challenge and God will lead you to face every trouble you face. Follow plan. What is your purpose of life? God created us for purposes in His plan. Pray often. Prayer is the only way to chat with our Father.

Jemima:

After devotion, this sentence came to me, “SUBMISSION only happens when we OBEY even though we don’t agree with what we have been asked to do.” This sentence reminds me to do things willingly, no matter I like or not. So, I’m willing to take more challenges even I don’t like but I’m willing to serve God whenever He calls.

Ivy Khor:

Luke 19:26 “He replied, ‘I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away.’” Give all the best to your God. You’ll be given even more from Him. Don’t be selfish as sometime I will like that. Share everything good to your neighbor, including our God. As a Christian, preaching gospel is part of our responsibility too! It’s a great commission from God. Hallelujah! Amen!

Amy:

Life is a story. We are the characters, but God’s the director. A story without a good director won’t be interesting. The story will just go on dull and plain, without any climax and falling point. The happy and sad accounts we face in life are meant to be the climax and falling point, which spice up our life. So, don’t worry. Go on and put God in the first place as He is the director who will lead and direct the story of our life. Lay full faith in Him!

Jennifer:

Psalm 32:1 “Blessed is he whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.” David used blessed often in his poems to show that God has blessed him. To be blessed is a joyous position with right relationship with God. Let us be happy for God has blessed us good relation with Him!
