Are you the only Christian in your family? Are your family members giving you a hard time? You can find comfort in John chapter 6, 7 and 8. Jesus faced the same challenges and discouraging problems in His family and Jesus showed us how He dealt with them. Bro and sis, take heart! You should change your family members not the other way round! Let’s pray for family salvation! I have received much devotion sharing from you guys which is great!

Amy:

1 Thessalonians 4:12 “people who are not Christians will respect the way you live” Everything we do, we think, we speak, etc… can coherently reveal one’s behaviors and attitudes. So, as Christians, we should live a godly life, everything we do in life should please God, and let others, especially non-believers see the shadow of God in us. Don’t ever let others question us: you are actually a Christian? Live a godly life which can transform others’ lives.

Isaiah 44:8 “Do nit tremble, do not be afraid” There will be no other beings beside God that will protect you. God is the almighty God. Those who worship idols just to seek comfort will never know what God’s love is like. I thank God for rescuing me. God saved all of us from darkness. Praise the Lord!!

Luke 14:10 “when you are invited, take the lowest place, so that your host will say ‘friend, move up to a better place.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all your fellow guests.” You will get more if you are humble. If you are proud, you will gain less knowledge from others. May God bless.

In the Old Testament, Sam asks God to forgive him everyday for something he did three years ago. He asks forgiveness more than 500 times for the same thing. The problem is he didn't receive forgiveness and mercy. Continue to listen the voices "You did something bad and unforgivable. God can't bless you." So, we declare to stop and declare! "Father, thank you for your mercy endures forever. I may have made mistakes in the past, but I know your mercy is fresh and new every single morning. So, I receive it by faith today."

Xin Yi:

If you are worrying about something… Matthew 6:25-34 look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you! Why do you have so little faith? Ya, why huh? Ha. Touched till it makes me want to cry. XD

Christina:

God reminds me that I need to rely on Him every moment. When I study or do other things, I shouldn’t rely on my wise, as God’s the origin for everything. I won’t get what I want if I don’t seek the guidance from Holy Spirit.

Ivy:

Ephesians 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ” He has blessed us with salvation, forgiveness and the hope of eternal life… Let’s immerse ourselves in the blessings everyday and declare it out!

Amy:

Colossians 3:13-14 “You must make allowance for each other’s faults and forgive others. And the most important piece of clothing you must wear is love. Love is what binds us all together in perfect harmony” God speaks to me through these verses, straight to the point. Indeed, we must forgive, no matter how bad the situation is, maybe we have been hurt so badly from others’ deeds, but still we need to forgive. Forgive is a way to better life, it reduces the pain and anger in ourselves. Forgive and let the past be buried that we don’t always indulge ourselves in the past. Then, love with full sincerity. To love people who are not lovable may be a hard thing to do, that shall really need a lot of faith. But, God has love in abundance, pray and get from Him, use His love to love others…

Khen:

约1:5 神就是光, 在祂豪无黑暗. 光不是只照亮当我们迷失方向, 当我们面对一些问题, 无礼对待, 认识人中伤你, 事情连续一段时间都没解决, 感到彷徨无助. 相信神的光已开始照到这问题, 问题不会不被解决, 神与我们同在, 祂跟我们一起处理它, 带着勇气与持着神真理公义面对它.

Andrew:

Sharing- my exam is on 50% process already, still left two more to go. Thanks God for leading me until today. Without Him, I really don’t know who am I will be. I will appreciate the gift He presented to me. What I have today is not by my own strength but is from our mercy father. He loves me so much no matter who I am. He never abandons me in anytime. I feel content with what I have now. I should keep moving forward and stepping into next level.

Jennifer:

1 Thessalonians 5:15 “Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other” Here, I would like to apologize for those who was hurt by me. I’m sorry if I have been overly sensitive and emotional. Pray for me that I’ll never feel sorry for myself anymore, for I am victorious in God’s eyes!

Christina:

Lord never promises that we won’t have any problem after we believe in Him but He promises that He won’t give us a situation that we can not endure. He will open window or way for us if we ask for help. Lord always beside us and willing to help us. So I declare in Jesus name that Lord will open new way for ECA and ECA will have revival.

Ivy Khor:

Luke 18-21 Jesus asked, “What is the kingdom of God like? It is a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his garden. It grew and become a tree, and the birds of the air perched in its branches.” “It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into a large amount of flour until it worked all through the dough.” It reminds me, everyone as a Christian, stay harmony and unity, together we obey God’s word, support each other, glorify God’s name; together we go back to kingdom of God with full baskets of fresh fruits. The woman describes how neat God is, to take care of us, arranged many for us. Thanks God!

Leonard:

Proverbs 18:16 says that your gift will make room for you. I'm convinced if you'll get into your destiny, no matter where you are, you won't have any problem getting hired or happy. If you focus on your strengths and do what you are gifted to do, you are fulfilling the dreams that God has placed in your heart. Are you pursuing your passion? Life is short, find one thing that you are passionate about and start giving yourself to it. God will lead you one step further.

Leonard:

Romans 12:6 “God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well.” You can’t do everything well, but you can do something well. Focus on your strengths and make sure that you are not missing out on your destiny… I believe I have been blessed by God on certain talents and gifts… I love doing business, it’s just like a game for me, every time I earn money, I consider earning the points, if loss money then it’s a stage that I need to re-plan my strategy and play it skillfully and full of passionate… Same with doing drama… I’m a blessed man…

Ivy:

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “We don’t lose heart though outwardly we are wasting away. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving us an eternal glory…” Troubles help us to see this world for what it is imperfect, which leads us to look for the perfect and permanent that we can begin to see the eternal glory of Christ!

Amy:

Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything, instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.” Yea, don’t worry. We can’t expect anything for tomorrow, so what for to worry about it? For things which are happening now, don’t worry too. Everything will have its own meanings, maybe we don’t understand it, maybe we blame God for all of these, but why don’t we view the things from other perspectives? Perhaps it’s a blessing for others. And also thank God for everything, no matter how bad the situation may be, still thank Him. He will have His way for us, and the way He makes for us will be the best ever!

Andrew:

Psalm 121:1-3 “I will lift up my eyes to the hills-from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.” At the time we feel down, we ask desperately for help. Where is the help? Seek it from your God who created this amazing world. He will strengthen your stand so that you won’t easily fall down by Satan’s trap. He will protect you and keep you awake every time. Amen.

Khen:

你要什么向神祈求, 但你要相信, 神就给你. “但你要相信” 这句话对我来讲很重要, 只要我们求的合神旨意, 神一定给但要耐心等祂的时间, 不是根据我们的时间, 而是要带着盼望等待.

Jennifer:

Psalm 12 “May the Lord cut off all flattering lips and every boastful tongue.” I pray to Lord that I’ll be successful in controlling my anger and emotion. Let those who speak, speak only the truth. Let those who speak of evil be punished. Thank you Lord for being my side in times of need.

Ivy Khor:

Luke 12:40 “You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect Him.” All of us must be ready to stand firm in the truth of life, and also ready to sacrifice for the Lord. Sometimes I will think of how if one day the people want to kill whoever believes in Christ. I will stand up and say, “Repent or kill me first!” Although I will scare but I always make myself ready for it. May God be with us.

1 Samuel 25:28 Abigail said “David, my husband is a rude and ungrateful man; he shouldn’t have treated you like that, but David, if you will forgive this wrong, I know God will give you an enduring house” I love this phrase… She means “I know you have right to be angry for what others pay you back evil for your good… But if you can forgive, let it passed… God will bless you for generations to come… He will give you an enduring house” So I decided to forgive someone who had cheated me more than RM80K… I know God will bless me for generations to come abundantly… Have you forgiven your enemy?

Ivy:

Psalm 119:9-16 “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to Your word. I seek You with all my heart; do not let me stray from Your commands… I meditate on Your precepts…” God loves His people to be pure… and to obey His words… Let’s move from meditation to application!

Jennifer:

Psalm 8:6 I always have many problems, praise the Lord for giving me faith in devoting 1/10 of what I have every month. Though sometimes I still felt like cheating God, He never gave up on me. He gave me everything I need. “You made Him rule over the works of your hands, You put everything under his feet.”

Karl:

When I was taking my shower just now, I realized that I have not been sneezing in the morning and evening for many weeks. Yes, my sinus problem which had been bothering me for years was healed! The healing did not take place immediately after I was prayed but it did weeks later. Praise the Lord!

Amy:

Philippians 1:9 “I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep growing in your knowledge and understanding” It’s a great lesson! I know that God wants me to know that I should love others, not only those who we think are lovable only, but all the others, especially those who we don’t like. Just inevitably, there will be some beings who turn to be people we don’t really like, for their behaviors, but these are the people who we should love. And also love with whole sincerity, you can see the difference. Love others just like God loves us!!!

Andrew:

1 John 5:18 We know that anyone born of God does not continue to sin, the one who was born of God keeps him safe, and the evil one cannot harm him… Stay in His comfort zone that is ever ready for you… Amen…

I used to declare in everything. But since I came here to study, the declaration becomes lesser and lesser. And so now I declare in Jesus name that I have passion in my heart always… I declare that I can see others’ needs… Amen…

Ivy Khor:

Luke 11:4 “Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.” Nowadays Satan is shaking my mind. I can feel that it tried very best to let my heart to Jesus die. I declared that it won’t be success! Victorious is our Lord, Jesus Christ! May God give me strength and open my eyes!

Andrew Ng:

In the new testament we always see Jesus encountered with pharisees. My sis told me that these pharisees are the group of people whom Jesus wish most that they could believe in him, and this group of pharisees are stubborn and always waiting for chances to debate with Jesus with their earthly knowledge and laws. When i look at these pharisees i found that sometimes i share a lot of similarities with the pharisees, stubborn and addicted to the earthly knowledge, and a lot of times it hurts Jesus' heart. But still Jesus still never give up on me, He persuade me nicely and shown me great miracles and love, and He even die for me and forgive me.... Thank you so much Lord, i pray in your name to guide my daily life, actions and thinking so that i wont do anything that breaks your heart again Lord.

Ephesians 6:10-17 “Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power, put on the FULL armour of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s shames… God has given me the authority to have victory, but the only problem is that I’m often not willing to open my heart to receive and to use the authority… So let’s win all the spiritual battle in our life…

Khen:

我们的生命要时时跟神连接, 经不起试探堕落就掉落罪中. 撒旦对人的毒害有三: 第一, 把怀疑和不信种子植入心里引诱人否定神话语, 怀疑神动机. 第二, 人违背神命令带入刑法与神分隔. 第三, 人性变恶与神为敌. 可怕吗? 撒旦引诱夏娃结果就把罪与死亡带进来人类. 唯有神领入光明道路!

Leonard:

Bible says, “Confess your faults one to another and pray for one another that you may be healed” You will never overcome what you are struggling with all by yourself… Find a mentor, a leader, a shepherd, a pastor who will stand with you, pray for you and will hold you accountable… We have to get past the misconception that because we love God and people look up to us, we are supposed to be perfect… In God, it doesn’t always work that way… So dear all, I’m not perfect… I may let you down or offense you… Please forgive me… deep down from my heart…

Amy:

My devotion today is a testimony. A real account I went through this afternoon. There was a certain thing which happened and I had really got ferocious over it. I cried. I just got to cry when I was angry. At that time, God talked to me, through my friend. She sent a message to me. The message: “你们当爱你们的仇人, 当为迫害你们的人祈祷” 谦虚及心中有包容的人, 仇恨没办法靠近或感染他. God is so great! He just has His way to heal one's heart. Through the message, I got healed and learned what He wants me to learn. Lord, Your words touch my heart. After about a half-hour cry, everything is over. Thank you Jesus! Thank you Lord! You are deserved of all praises. Hallelujah!

Andrew:

Psalm 36:7-9 “How precious is your loving kindness, oh Lord! Therefore, the children of men put their trust under the shadow of your wing” In fact, today is the last lesson day of this semester and next just left final exam. I could not deny that it is bit stress and tension to me every time exam comes. It’s the nature of being. God, You are the comforter for Your son. You love us. “For with you is the fountain of life…” In You, I see the source of life in the world. In You, I see the light that leads me in darkness. Hopefully God will lead me pass through obstacles every time.

Ivy Khor:

Luke 10:19 “I have given you authority… nothing will harm you.” Don’t afraid the “thing”, God has given me the prayer authority. Declared in Jesus name that it CANT hurt me! V21 “you have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” God told me, you are the blessed one, my child. V41, V42 “you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed.” Sometime, we are too busy in our things until forgotten what Lord wants us to do, although many things would affect us, we have to pray, no matter how busy you are. May God guide us on whatever things we do.

Jennifer:

Psalm 7:17 The world is not fair. The wicked always get the best of everything (money, fame, respect). The righteous are always looked down. But God is righteous. He protects His people from harm. He prepares their treasures in heaven. So don’t feel down when you have less, remember that you have more in heaven waiting for you.
